Oakville is an eastern Missouri community with a population of about 36,000 people. The community is situated in St. Louis County and is located 16 miles south of Downtown St. Louis. Oakville has not been incorporated by the Missouri legislature and the origins of the community have been passed down orally so that Oakville’s true history is not entirely certain.
